Energy Futures 2021: Solar that PAYS® for Itself

On June 23, Groundswell was joined by industry-leading panelists in a discussion about how on-bill investments can make on-site solar systems available to low- and moderate-income customers. The Pay As You Save (PAYS®) system is designed to facilitate utility investment in cost-effective energy upgrades and has the potential to provide a distinct financing solution for increasing clean energy access for low and moderate-income households.

This is the second installment in the monthly Energy Futures 2021 webinar series led by Groundswell. The goal of this series is to build awareness around the findings of the LIFT Solar Everywhere program. LIFT focuses on accelerating solar access for low- and moderate-income households. Kicking off in May 2021, this series will convene subject matter experts and industry professionals on topics related to community-solar and clean energy projects established to serve LMI households.

Energy Futures 2021: Solar that PAYS® for Itself was moderated by Groundswell Senior Program Director Chris Nichols. She was joined by Tammy Agard from EEtility, Holmes Hummel from Clean Energy Works, and Wally Nixon from the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
