Energy Futures 2021

Groundswell is leading the monthly webinar series, Energy Futures 2021, to build awareness around the findings of the LIFT Solar Everywhere program. LIFT focuses on accelerating solar access for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households. Kicking off in May 2021, this series will convene subject matter experts and industry professionals on topics related to community-solar and clean energy projects established to serve LMI households. The webinar series is supported by Bank of America.

During our May 26 webinar, Groundswell lead panelists in a discussion on how cities build energy equity through community solar. The panel will speak to the “how-to,” models, financing approaches, and regulatory considerations that enable a shift to more equitable clean energy futures. Our moderator, Groundswell Senior Program Director Chris Nichols, lead the conversation about city-based programs that are advancing energy equity within the context of community solar programs. Speakers included leaders from the Philadelphia Energy Authority and the DC Department of Energy & Environment.
